What this means

At 1.78 m, the Fraser River at Cannor is below normal for late September. That reading is from Sep 21, 2026, 06:00 AM PDT, so the gauge may be offline or reporting late.

That puts it 0.06 m below the median of 1.84 m for late September, based on 8 years of readings. A year ago it stood at 1.74 m (+0.03 m).

The level has held steady over the past 24 hours. Without real rain upstream, that is unlikely to change quickly. Over the past 30 days it has moved between 1.56 m and 2.21 m.

Fall is often low-water season on rivers, and it usually takes a few days of steady rain to change that.
